Can Cullen 90 degree hangers be used when the supported member is at an angle?

Unless stated in our Technical Guide Cullen all 90 degree products must be installed at an angle range of no greater than +/- 2 degrees on plan. For any angle out with this tolerance an angled hanger would be our recommendation.

The key thing is the side flanges of the hanger must not be deformed to fit the joist / truss in.

It is not suitable to pack out 90 degree hangers to accommodate an angle out with this tolerance.
