When selecting a hanger it is always recommended to utilise the correct hanger width to ensure there is not too much movement within the hanger and the fixings can be adequately filled.
Your software should provide you with the correct width hanger to supply with your joist/truss.
Where a hanger has been supplied that is not the recommended size we can assess the suitability. To enable us to do this please provide the hanger width that you wish to utilise, the joist/truss width that is being supported in the hanger and the maximum characteristic capacity on the connection.
Please note when joists are being utilised as trimmers packing details cannot be supplied on one side only. Should you have a stairwell trimmer it would be recommended to replace the hanger with the correct width to ensure opening sizes are achieved.
Please note where the gap exceeds 25mm a packing detail cannot be provided and you will need to speak with your system provider to provide a solution.
